Words by Emily Dickinson, music by Laura Reid. Vocals Gweneth Ann Rand, Piano Allyson Devenish. Originally titled "'Hope' is the thing with feathers - (314)" Emily Dickinson (1830 - 1886) was an American poet, who was inspired by many things, including botany and natural sciences. I was drawn to this poem after losing my sibling during the pandemic. It spoke to me on so many levels. I found inspiration in the lyrics and wanted to make turn my personal grief into something more hopeful that resonated in a way. https://www.edickinson.org/
