The repentance

1 sound

Devastated, Ainsley wandered the ruins of his dreams, his heart heavy with loss. It was then that he heard it—the song of the water, not angry now, but sad. He realized, too late, the wisdom in Morag’s words and the folly of his pride.

With a humble heart, Ainsley approached the banks of the Leith and spoke, his voice a mere whisper against the flow. He apologized to the water, to the village, and to the land he had so carelessly harmed. He promised to rebuild, not for greed, but for the good of his neighbors, to respect the balance that he had so thoughtlessly upset.
