While smaller than many other Polish communities in major cities in the U.S., Salem’s Polish community has contributed to the fabric of the Derby St. neighborhood for hundreds of years. As you walk down this path, you may notice the Polish American Citizens Club on your left, at 9 Daniels St., which became a meeting place, and organizing front for Polish workers starting in 1928, when the PACC moved its headquarters to the brick building you see now.
