Wollemi Pine

They may not look it, but under the canopy of tall firs beside the path, there are five very special young trees. These are Wollemi pine. They are actually members of the two hundred-million-year-old Araucariaceae family and the relatives of the monkey puzzle and Bunya Bunya trees, both of which also grow here in the gardens.
