Tom McNamara is a poet, songwriter and musician born in Ballymorris, Cratloe, Co Clare. After attending school in Pallaskenry he joined the Irish Army for five years and later moved to London. He started writing in 1986 - Limerick vocalist Tommy Drennan recorded four of his songs for RTE and his songs are now performed by other groups and bands. Tom McNamara writes in a style which is sincere and from his heart. He is quite spiritual and his simple christian faith is a lesson to us all.
