What do the ants hear the morning of the RockCut Marathon? Runners come from all over to participate in the incredible RockCutTrails marathons, running along the spectacular rugged coastal trails of Twillingate Island. Tenacity, spirit and determination echoing off the ground with every footfall!
This soundscape was recorded with a spike in the ground attached to the Earthphone, at the beginning of the RockCut 21K. Beginning in Snellins Cove, the soundscape was recorded the morning of September 26, 2026, near the start of the race, along the road in Back Harbour.
