Twillingate Sound Waves

What does it sound like under the water as the tide begins to turn at Sleepy Cove? Submerse yourself and listen to the underwater soundscape. What can you hear?

This soundscape was created with a hydrophone on September 15 late in the afternoon at Sleepy Cove. Standing in the water, next to a rock, the hydrophone recorded the swirl of the water as the gentle waves met the shore.

Experience the magic of the Little Wild Cove underwater soundscape. Shimmer, ripple and wind on an incredibly beautiful sunny, afternoon. Stand near the edge of the water and listen. What do you hear around you? Which of the underwater sounds can you hear from the air? Which are "hidden sounds" that you could only imagine?
