The recording picks up the thump of the escalator, mechanics of the main heartbeat running through King’s Cross.
There’s something really physical about it, the way the sound makes you feel the familiar movement, the weight of people passing through, rhythm and disruption.
The sound is rhythmic almost grounding, but then there are these sudden interruptions - the crash of a suitcase, footsteps hitting the metal at the top. It’s like nerves firing, little shocks breaking the flow.
