The section to the right of the pathway was funded by the Hospital in 1886, as they had filled up the earlier sections with pauper graves. In all, over 5000 paupers from the hospital are buried in this churchyard. This area notably contains several Greek burials, as the Greek Church in Broughton had no burial ground. Keep heading up the slope until you meet the 18 27 boundary wall.
