This viewpoint provides a stunning view of Glasgow and highlights many of the green spaces around the city, such as Kelvingrove Park.
Glasgow has over 90 parks and formal gardens. Did you know, that the word 'Glasgow' is Gaelic for ‘Dear Green Place’?
Adam Smith was also an admirer of Glasgow's green beauty. He lived at the time of the Agricultural Revolution - a time of rapid increase in crop production and bountiful growth. He was keenly aware of humanity's ability to reshape the environment, but although he would have understood that resources were not infinite, he did not forsee climate change as we experience it today.
