The World of Ants

You will hear the ants’ footsteps and the tree sucking water. This was recorded during the daytime after a day of heavy rain. The hydrophone was placed on the wet soil at the base of an eucalyptus tree. Ants were probably Golden Tailed Spiny Ants, and they were walking by and on the hydrophone. The picture is looking up the tree from the ground, where the ants were, to simulate their vision when they are climbing the tree.
