Through our research, we found that the development of King’s Cross is a product of urban capital expansion. Old buildings, historical relics, and community spaces have been gradually overlaid, with new developments systematically replacing past urban forms—until expansion reaches its limit. This process is much like the mechanics of the game Snake—a continuous cycle of devouring, occupying more and more space, until it inevitably crashes into a wall or collapses upon itself.
