Part of the Spaces to Speak project, ‘On the Tip of My Tongue’ (commissioned by talking on corners), is cultural futurist Lauren Craig’s creative response to five interviews between Lorna Rose and global majority creatives in Plymouth.
Craig created public sound art in the form of spatial audio collage encompassing the voices from the interviews, for the people of Plymouth to embody whilst exploring geolocated landscapes.
The audio collages are a way for the creatives’ voices to be heard within central Plymouth, reflecting the energy of their practices and the plurality of their experiences.
You are invited to take a self-directed journey around parts of Plymouth, slow listening by engaging in your familiar surroundings through a different lens.
This is 1 of 5 interviews available on Echoes.
We advise downloading the audio collages onto your smartphone to listen to them (streaming the walk uses a LOT of phone data).
