Did you know that the centre of Paignton used to be cabbage fields?
Doorstep Youth Theatre - an ensemble of young people aged 11 - 20 - is exploring the history of protest and rebellion in Torbay and devising an original musical production. The work is happening via digital exchange, including heritage research, scriptwriting, songwriting, design and some subversive cabbage growing.
Placing current climate protests into a long-term heritage context, this project is making historical patterns of protest in South Devon and Torbay more visible.

900 Years of Living History in the Heart of Exeter - St Nicholas Priory Audio Play
This wonderfully creative audio tour of Exeter's oldest building takes you from room to room, from one historical period to the next.
Listen to Maud Tothill telling you her story of saving the building from ruin, explore the monks' history, be a guest at the Hurst's Tudor feast, and discover the secrets of the building at your own pace.
Family-friendly, easily-accessible history.
Duration: approximately 40 minutes.
