JERRY AND THE DOG

room 6 ECHOES

New York
Edward Albee's one act play The Zoo Story (1958) begins as the eccentric Jerry approaches an unsuspecting Peter who is sitting on a park bench along Central Park. This walk retraces the character Jerry's steps as he walks up 5th Avenue from the zoo on 65th Street until he finds Peter on 74th Street. Listen to Jerry's monologue in this public space with the ambient sounds of the park, and allow yourself to imagine how you might react to a stranger telling you this story.
