we are all going to make it (audio tour):
From the colonial legacies of surveillance to offshore shell companies, to the hyper-speculation of recent crypto fads, this subversive audio tour explores and documents both the material and immaterial infrastructures of the Internet in Limassol, Cyprus and beyond.
By visiting different locations around the old town, participants will discover some of the complex histories and present day realities associated with networked capitalism and will be able to situate their own everyday online interactions and experiences within wider techno-political contexts.
In doing so, we are all going to make it acts as a critique of problematic narratives and ideologies associated with contemporary algorithmic culture.
This project is part of a series of works developed as part of the European Media Art Platform (EMAP) residency at NeMe during the summer of 2023.
