Moving to the city is hard, and for this young student, it's no different. Come experience the city in a new light, guided by the city itself in the form of an omniscient guide who just wants to show this student the ways of the city.

MUSE

MUSE is the first location of our walk. Start here, really anywhere in front of the building as you'll get the same experience either way. MUSE might be a bit nerdy, but is probably one of the best connections you can have if you want to feel at home. In real life, MUSE hosts a massive selection of Nebraskan history, and is seriously worth checking out. When the dialogue in this audio ends, proceed to the next location at Gomez Art Supply.

Gomez Art Supply

Gomez Art Supply is a small, local & women-owned Art Supply store! It's very cute and has nice vibes. You should start off facing the front of the building, and while listening to this audio, try to take in all the different details on the building. Once the dialogue ends, begin walking to the next destination.

Library

Despite its dark and broody attitude, Library is actually a great place! As you'll hear in the experience, Library is an awesome public space that hosts a ton of resources (which you can find out about by going in and asking a librarian :) ).

During the experience, you do not need to be in a specific space outside of the activation spot. Try to face towards the building and really imagine the possibilities of it. Think about the whole box, in regards to how a library can help its community, and what that represents in the grand scheme of things. Once the dialogue ends and you are ready, proceed to the next location.

MARRI

MARRI is the characterization of the Lincoln Marriot Cornhusker Hotel. MARRI is a stuck up snob, lol, but plays a part in the walker's "education." When listening to this experience, try to think outside of what MARRI says literally, and try to find the underlying message in its words. If possible, try to stand in the hotel's shadow and absorb its sheer scale. Think about how many rooms are on each floor, and then how many floors there are. Once the dialogue is complete, walk to the next location.

Do you wish to uncover one of Lincoln's greatest, but most forgotten history? In 1982 one of the most mysterious bank heists occurred in Lincoln and hardly anyone knows of it. The group of robbers stole about 1.5 million dollars that is worth about 4 million dollars in 2020. The robbers were able to evade the police and seem to almost vanish out of thin air. The voice recording that you will hear is only a fraction of all the eyewitnesses in the original documentary that was about to be released in 1984 until it was mysteriously damaged. Fortunately, some of the audio was recovered, but all footage was destroyed. Throughout this experience I ask that you wear headphones or earbuds so that you may get the full experience. Here is the order I would ask of you to follow: The First Ring Deposit or Withdrawal Alleyway Stranger Delivery Interruption Bus Stop Shenanigans Please be mindful of others who are trying to use the sidewalks as well and don't get hit by any cars!

Starting in Part 1 located on the intersection of S 17th and K St, the route takes you into downtown and back to the capital. You're welcome to travel to each part by walking as well, or you're also welcome to do a quick run. From there, just follow the instructions given, and if you get turned around, just follow the numbers on the Echo titles!

The Walking Man

A trip around the block, narrated by the light-up Walking Man. You will start on the corner of the street outside of Southwest Barbecue and follow his instructions on where to go. The Walking Man will point out some things along the way, give some history, and encourage you to enjoy the natural story of the city. All you have to do is follow the echoes and his instructions.
