The Host Rock and the Deep Time

Listening to a site is a way of being with the world and becoming deeply intertwined with it.

In this soundwalk, the artists present a speculative narrative that draws attention to the complex entanglements between human and more-than-human life. Central to this narrative is the idea that site, sight, and sound are enmeshed and that by engaging in deep listening, all senses come together to expand our perception of the world.

The soundwalk has been developed using collaborative methodologies inspired by visualization techniques, tactile observations, creative writing, deep listening, and data mining. The resulting narrative is specifically designed to be heard while walking around the wooden bridge. This is a circular pathway, both beginning and ending here.
