McMaster in 2011

In March of 2017 there was chaos in the acoustic community on the McMaster University campus. Dr. Jordan Peterson, a man speaking in favor of free speech, was denied his platform by a mob asserting their free speech over his. A setting for discourse, for the exchange of ideas, was replaced by a hostile environment by a group that claims to be about openness and tolerance. I have placed Peterson’s voice to the space from which it was stripped three years ago. I did so not to reassert his political views, but to pass along a piece of wisdom from one of his lectures on an ancient Egyptian myth. A piece of wisdom that all should hear. A piece of wisdom that would otherwise fall on many deaf ears as a result of the unjust smearing of Jordan Peterson’s name. ***Walk at a regular speed around IAHS. For the first assignment of multimedia 3C03. I will introduce Basic sanitary facilities, especially restrooms near the student center of MCMASTER. Sometimes no rest for a restroom because some washrooms only have one toilet. So, for this reason, we should know two or three washrooms in an emergency. If in another situation. My project helps people who are a visitor, and it’s his first time go to the student center of MCMASTER but coincidentally or not he wants to go to the washroom. My project will be useful to him. In my project, I will introduce three washrooms and rated on five points, facilities, cleanliness, smell, size of space, privacy. Users can find the right toilet for them through my introduction. The day of the test washroom assessment guidelines is Saturday, just a few people in the student center

This soundwalk is designing for people who have social phobia, also called social anxiety disorder. It’s when people fear of crowds and get anxious in public space. In this piece of work, I try to relate to how I personally perceive the environment and to create a sense of me as a companion to the audience.
