Welcome to the Garden! This walk through the Allen Ginsberg Community Poetry Garden is a sound scape of poems produced in collaboration with local artists and community members, Left Margin Lit, the University of California Berkeley's African American Studies Department, and the Berkeley Arts Magnet School at Whittier, with support from the UC Berkeley Chancellor's Partnership Fund. We invite you to join us, take a wander around, and find a place in this garden and in these poems.

(re)collection is a series of site-specific installations by LeeAnn Perry that bring together memories of defunct and ephemeral music venues in the Bay Area, in order to reconnect participants in musical communities that have fragmented through time, to resurrect networks of musical collaboration that have lain dormant, and to invite newcomers to these communities to pay tribute to their inspirations.

Voices of the Earth: From Sophocles to Rachel Carson and Beyond is a geo-located audio experience. Listeners will be guided to various locations around the park, where they will gain access to quotations and excerpts of works by various writers, artists, environmentalists, and leaders. Each location's audio ("Echo") includes carefully curated content for your listening pleasure, so please pause to listen while you take in the nearby scenery.

Walk from the Hunters Point Shipyard 'Decommissioned' exhibit, building 101, up to the overlook where you can see the whole shipyard! Listen to the voices of naval archive recordings as you walk, including marching bands, ceremonies, and the voices of men sending audio tapes home to their loved ones.
