Rescue the Polar Bears!

Your Arctic research team intercepts a distress signal—a family of polar bears is stranded on a drifting ice floe! The ice is breaking apart, and with temperatures dropping, they don’t have much time.

The only way to send a rescue signal to the approaching icebreaker ship is to unlock a secured radio system. But the rescue frequency code is locked—you’ll need to gather intel from different parts of your Arctic church base to crack it.

The radio system requires two things to unlock: 1. A single letter (e.g., A) 2. A 4-digit passcode The format to unlock the secured radio system is X.00.00

💡 Your mission: Search the church base and surrounding area for the rescue equipment and vital clues! The icebreaker ship is waiting for your coordinates—but time is running out!

You find an old research logbook on a table inside the church.

As you skim through the pages, a handwritten note catches your eye: “It’s been the warmest this season it’s ever been, I tell you. That thermometer there tells the story, -24°C I tell you. Them poor P-bears losing their homes. Have you heard about the ones stuck on the broken ice?!”

A radio receiver is found in a dusty corner of the base, but it’s out of tune.

You adjust the frequency dial, and suddenly a voice crackles through the static: "P-Bears sighted at coordinates 38°N and moving south."

A voice nearby exclaims: "Ya heard that?! 38°N! The 3 of them—Papa, Mama, and Lil' P-bear—are desperately trying to find a way across! You gotta move fast to help them!"

Venturing through the overgrown graveyard, frost clings to the headstones as the cold wind howls around you. Eventually, you spot an old burial vault, its metal door locked with a manual override requiring a 3-digit code.

🧩 To crack this code, use the numbers from previous checkpoints and follow the sequence. Once you think you have this code, send a runner back to base to confirm the code

Upon cracking the code, you hear a click, and the vault door creaks open. As you step inside, a chill runs down your spine…

"Ah yes, I remember this place from the ancient stories. Way back years ago, this vault was used for some classified P-bear research… No one actually knows much more than that."

Inside the vault, 40 sculptures of rare polar bear species line the icy walls. As you step closer to inspect, a hidden pressure plate triggers the security system!

The vault door slams shut, trapping one of your teammates inside while the rest remain outside.

"Oh man… this is bad. The temperature is dropping—fast! You need the code to unlock the doors before hypothermia sets in!"

🧩 Puzzle: The scientists who built this vault worked backwards for their passcode—it was too cold for them to think of something clever.

Sprint back to the church base! The final rescue transmission must be sent before the signal cuts out!
