Stand by the grave of Hannah Twynnoy in Malmesbury Abbey graveyard to hear a song is about the sad demise of this Malmesbury barmaid, who on 23rd Oct 1703 became the first recorded person in Britain to have been killed by a tiger. It was being kept in a cage in the yard of the White Lion pub in Gloucester Street, and Hannah's fascination with the beast regrettably did not end well for her.

This song was written and performed by Gill Simmons, and was created originally for Malmesbury Community Radio.
