Listening Kinship Spreepark

Augmented Reality Soundwalk with artists Amanda Gutiérrez, Marcus Maeder, and Veronica Mockler, with workshop collaborators Elizabeth Gallon Droste, Tulïn Findan, Janis Jorokta, Manu Meier, Sofia Sofiez, Peter Spillmann, Anja Tominec, and Pablo Torres. During the soundwalk, you will have the chance to experience the results, recordings and discussions of the workshop LISTENING KINSHIP on August 28 and 29, 2023. Artistic statement Future forms of living together include listening positionality and methodologies to approach a critical angle on coloniality and its relations with the land. Extending connections with the more-than-human through sound technologies opens the dimension of animal (human) cohabitation and speculative botany, implicating a political entanglement of bioacoustics, sound ethnographies, and live oral history. The floating islands

The floating islands

The water area nearby “die Insel der Jugend” in the eastern part of the Treptower Park will be the place where different but interconnected sonic archipelagos emerge. The focus of this work is on the complex notion of communication and common space (not only human-related) in a post-capitalist, gentrified city, as well as the various factors that influence it and its immediate environment. website: www.losotres.net/w_e_t_TFIS.html

Open the Night (De) Lichtenberg S-Bahnhof

Open the Night (En) Lichtenberg S-Bahnhof

Open the Night is a sound walk in public space using geospatial audio technology via the mobile app Echoes. This technology enables sounds to become activated when a device using GPS (a mobile phone held by you, the visitor) enters a specific zone. For hearing people, this means you will need a smartphone or iPhone, as well as headphones, to participate in this artwork. You must be physically present at this location to access the walk. Simply put on your headphones and explore the area outside the train station to discover what moths have to say about light. Also available in German and in German Sign Language (DGS). Stolpersteine-Audiowalk Rixdorf

Stolpersteine-Audiowalk Rixdorf

Stolpersteine-Audiowalk Rixdorf - Making the stories of people audible, who lived in that part of Northern Neukölln and became victims of the nazi regime. This project is aimed at immersing people in the historical significance of the names inscribed on the small brass plates in the streets, called Stolpersteine. Many people pass by Stolpersteine everyday without noticing them or understanding their significance. Our goal was not only to make people aware of the history behind the names but also to help them connect with it.
