Welcome to the Londinium Poetry Walk, an exciting event created by artist/poet Giovanna Iorio.
By following the route on the Echoes app, you will hear a selection of the 29 translations of the poem “Londinium” by Anthony Fisher, a project conceived to celebrate difference and the 300 languages spoken in London.
You can read the poems here: https://anthonyfisherpoet.com/londinium/londinium-in-translation/
The first is the English version read by Anthony Fisher and is just on the left as you enter Cecil Road.
The images are Voice Portraits, reproducing the voices of the poets reading each translation.
