During springtime our sixth graders got educated in how to express themselves in various ways. Sometimes without even using words. They told us stories just by using sounds instead.

We used Soundtrap, our hearts and minds as tools to create this Soundwalk. Hope you enjoy it.

Tony Blomdahl – V+RX-15-remix

Med ljudkonstprojektet ComposerSplaces vill Audiorama sprida och öka kunskapen om svensk elektroakustisk musik och ljudkonst till en bredare publik.. https://www.audiorama.se/composersplaces V+RX-15 är beställt av Sveriges Radio och komponerat för trummaskin och violin till violinisten George Kentros 2009. Versionen som spelas här är en remix av trummaskinstämman och fungerar här som en självständig komposition utan violinstämman. Den valda platsen för detta verk är Musik i Syds scen och plats i Växjö tillika stråkorkestern Musica Vitaes hemmascen. Får man inte nog av musik eller vill ha lite omväxling ska man också kunna lyssna på detta stycke innan, under och efter ordinarie konsert. Eller eventuellt i pausen. Nygatan är också den gata tonsättaren Karl-Birger Blomdahl är född på 1916. Blomdahl och Blomdahl är dock inte släkt ens på långt håll. Tony Blomdahl, tonsättare från början född i Stockholm men numera boende i Småland och verksam både där och i Göteborg. Som tonsättare mest arbetandes med mindre kammarmusikkonstellationer, inte sällan i kombination med elektroniska stämmor. Har även gjort en del teatermusik, både för fria teatergrupper i Göteborg men även Stadsteatern i samma stad. Blomdahls musik är också utgiven på ett flertal fonogram genom åren. (EN) With the sound art project ComposerSplaces, Audiorama wants to make Swedish electroacoustic music and sound art available to a wider audience. https://www.audiorama.se/composersplaces V+RX-15 was commissioned by Sveriges Radio and composed for drum machine and violin for the violinist George Kentros in 2009. This version is a remix of the drum machine part, as well as an independent composition without the violin part. The chosen location for this work is Musik i Syd's venue in Växjö, which also houses the string orchestra Musica Vitae. If you can't get enough of music or want some variation, one can also listen to this piece before, during and after any regular concert. Or possibly during the intermission. Nygatan is also the street where the composer Karl-Birger Blomdahl was born in 1916. However, Blomdahl and Blomdahl are not even remotely related. Tony Blomdahl is a Swedish composer born in Stockholm but now living in Småland and active both there and in Gothenburg. As a composer, he mainly works with smaller chamber music constellations, not infrequently in combination with electronic parts. Has also made some theatre music for independent theatres in Gothenburg as well as for Stadsteatern in the same city.
