
Acknowledgement of Country
I would first like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet, live, work, and study. I would also like to pay my respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. I acknowledge that this land was never ceded nor granted.
Practicing Mindfulness is a walk which is centred around escaping into the natural world, just for a few minutes, to calm your nervous system. Be where your two feet are, noticing the beauty of the world around you. Breathe deeply, slowly in through your nose and out through your mouth. Let thoughts come in and pass without judgement, and then bring your attention back to your breathing.
Note: The second half of the walk through the forest is only to be done during the day, as it is not lit up at night.
