Open the Night is a multi-channel audiowalk by Jeremy Knowles addressing the consequences of light pollution for nocturnal urban ecologies. Any lasting symbiosis between moths and humans in cities of the future requires that we re-evaluate our relationship with darkness: we must reclaim our wildness. The survival of moths, and therefore of ourselves as a species wholly reliant upon the vital role that moths play as nocturnal pollinators, hinges upon our ability to rethink our relationship with the night. Urban moths have taken one step closer to our diurnal experience of time by desensitising their attraction to artificial light. What will be our next evolutionary move? „Drei Strategien für den Weltuntergang - Back to Earth (Radio)“ ist der Audioteil zur Performance "Drei Strategien für den Weltuntergang" des 49. Jahrgangs der zeitgenössischen Puppenspielkunst der HfS Ernst Busch. Laufen Sie durch ein Kaleidoskop aus Stimmen und Sounds. Exitterra, Wilde Hilde und Landeteam Erde sind drei Zugänge zur Frage: Was gibt uns Angesicht all der vielen Bedrohungen, noch Halt gibt. Vielleicht sehen wir uns ja schon bald auf dem Mars? Die Performance fand am 16.5.2025 an diesem Ort statt.

Wie kommt der Kaffee auf den Frühstückstisch? Woher kommt der Kaugummi? Wer besorgt den Kautschuk für unsere Schuhsohlen? Und wie können wir als Konsument*innen zu fairer Produktion und nachhaltigen Lieferketten beitragen? Der Audiowalk “Fair zu Fuß in F-Hain” führt von der Bezirkszentralbibliothek Pablo Neruda rund um den Boxhagener Platz. Mit dem Smartphone spürt ihr geolokalisierte Hörstationen auf, an denen die Hintergründe von Lieferketten beliebter Produkte hörbar werden. Die Stimmen von Kleinhändler*innen informieren über spannende Projekte und laden Euch ein Antworten zu finden, wie unsere Warenwelt gerechter und nachhaltiger werden kann – viel Spaß! Dauer 60 mn.
