This walk is meant to showcase different community places in Herston/Windsor that have historical meaning behind them and that were affected by floods in various years and discuss how that has affected them.

Rasey’s Park is a community park that has a playground, cricket and hockey courts. It’s on the southern side of Breakfast Creek, which is why it has been affected by floods in various years. The park used to also have old military equipment from WW2 buried underneath the park.

Northey Street City Farm is a not-for-profit community organisation located in Windsor. They aim to educate about sustainability and be an inspirational community-based urban permaculture farm.

Downey Park is a historic place that has been associated with the development of women’s sports.
