Entdeckt unseren interaktiven Kinder Audio Walk – kostenlos über die Echoes App. Alles, was ihr braucht, ist ein GPS-fähiges Handy oder Tablet. Dreht die Lautstärke auf und klickt auf „Start“. Eine Karte zeigt euch, sowohl wo ihr gerade seid, als auch viele blaue Bereiche im Park. Jeder blaue Bereich steht für eine magische Audiodatei. Wenn ihr hineingeht, startet die Datei automatisch, und ihr trefft meine Freunde oder erlebt spannende Geschichten. Stolpersteine-Audiowalk Rixdorf - Making the stories of people audible, who lived in that part of Northern Neukölln and became victims of the nazi regime. This project is aimed at immersing people in the historical significance of the names inscribed on the small brass plates in the streets, called Stolpersteine. Many people pass by Stolpersteine everyday without noticing them or understanding their significance. Our goal was not only to make people aware of the history behind the names but also to help them connect with it. It is Germany's first Muslim cemetery, the main historical military cemetery in Berlin and the site of the “Hererostein” (Herero Stone), a memorial that honors German perpetrators of colonial violence against the Herero and Nama people in what is now Namibia. Elias Kosanke is a writer and educator working mainly in the performing arts. His recent work has been presented at Deutsches Theater, Theater Wuppertal and the Berlin Ringtheater. --- Über die Künstler: Ali El-Darsa arbeitet mit Film und visuellen Medien, sowie in der freien Bildungsarbeit. 2022 wird er Stipendiat der Villa Aurora (Thomas Mann House) in Los Angeles sein, sowie Vorstandsmitglied von Daziboa, Zentrum zur Vermittlung von zeitgenössischer Kunst in Montreal, Kanada. Seine Arbeiten wurden am Deutschen Theater, am Theater Wuppertal und am Ringtheater Berlin gezeigt. --- Interviewees: Işıkali Karayel is the founder-owner of Markaz, an Islamic funeral center in Neukölln, Berlin. Israel Kaunatjike is a Herero activist fighting for the revision of Germany’s colonial history. He is a founding member of the coalition “No Amnesty on Genocide”. Dr. Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung is an independent curator, author and biotechnologist. He is the founder and artistic director of SAVVY Contemporary in Berlin and the artistic director of Sonsbeek20–24 in Arnhem, the Netherlands. He is a professor in the Spatial Strategies MA program at the Weissensee Academy of Art in Berlin. As of 2023 he will take on the role of director at Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) in Berlin. Gülşah Stapel is a critical heritage and memories expert. She is a curator at the Berlin Wall Foundation, where she focuses on outreach and historical/political education. During the soundwalk, you will have the chance to experience the results, recordings and discussions of the workshop LISTENING KINSHIP on August 28 and 29, 2023. Artistic statement Future forms of living together include listening positionality and methodologies to approach a critical angle on coloniality and its relations with the land. Extending connections with the more-than-human through sound technologies opens the dimension of animal (human) cohabitation and speculative botany, implicating a political entanglement of bioacoustics, sound ethnographies, and live oral history.
