Rueben George Tour

room 5 ECHOES

North Vancouver

Welcome to this Augmented Reality land acknowledgment and audio tour of Whey-Ah-Wichen by Sun-Dance Chief Rueben George of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation. The tour is intended to ground the study of climate justice in Indigenous perspectives and ways of knowing, emphasizing the relationship of the Tsleil-Waututh people, who have been stewarding this very land and water for countless generations. Particularly relevant in recent years has been the struggle to stop the expansion of the Trans Mountain pipeline right here in this place.
