Standing at the top of Rixdorfer Höhe, I heard a distant humming that seemed like a shadow of a musical composition. It was muffled, as if it was coming from the piles of rubble below me. Arising from within the mountain, it sounded like choral singing. I reached into my bag for the microphone, stuck the tip of it into the earth covering the hilltop, and clearly heard the threnody coming from inside the mountain...
This work was created as a result of art-research conducted during May and June of 2024 by Ludomir Franczak. It is one of the results of the Art in Residence project implemented in TATWERK | Performative Forschung and founded by Culture Moves Europe programm.
