On The Run

The University of Washington campus has been walked by many people through many years. Crumbling buildings stand beside those with paint still drying, and who knows how many footprints hide underneath the layers of soil and concrete. This walk will take you through time to explore a story of love and loss that lies just below the veil of our world. Begin on the Northeastern-most end of the quad -- between the art and music buildings -- and walk through the quad towards Red Square. For the fullest experience, this walk should be done during Suzzallo Library hours.

Have you ever wondered what a tree is thinking? Well, assuming that thoughts are just signals that pass through our heads... Your available area is the Quad; more specifically, all of the trees within the Quad. Begin in the center, where the main paths intersect. Once you're there, start the walk.

Hello fellow traveler! This walk is based on a Russian folktale called "Swan-Geese" or "Gusi-Lebedi."
